at a glance

the park is particularly well known amongst climbers for the pedra do andaraí, also known as pico do papagaio, which rises in an elegant pyramid shape to reach 444 meters in altitude.

the forested area in the park offers exceptionally rich vegetation along the lower stretch of the valey of rio dos urubus, where visitors will find many exotic and native species intermingling. the more commonly found native species include figueira, embauba, carrapateira, ipe-amarelo, white cedar, and pau-d'alho. deeper in the forest are beautiful orchids, jurubeba, and caiapia, a species that is nearly extinct. arrow-back     arrow-forward
