at a glance

A visit to the Parque Nacional da Tijuca can be the highlight of any trip to Rio de Janeiro with unparalleled views of the Zuna Sul - from Corcovado on the right, Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf) and Lagoa Rodrigo De Freitas (Lagoon) in the center and the Morro dois Irmãos (Hill Brothers) on the right.

as with any National Park certain rules and regulations must be adhered too - The use of lighted fires, candles, and other 'open flame' appliances or utensils is strictly prohibited.

The park is a protected area of native and sometimes endangered animals, plants and trees and part of the larger Mata Atlântica, so it is not allowed to bring outside animals, except seeing eye dogs, and definitely no hunting, fishing, or cutting of any vegetation. arrow-back     arrow-forward
