it is lit at night and includes a bike path, areas for rollerblading, courts for basketball, and tennis and soccer fields which can be rented every day of the year. there are many restaurants and kiosks scattered throughout the park, and the northern edge abuts the glória marina.

also found in the park, in the glória portion of the arterro, is the landmark museum of modern art - mam, while the carmen miranda museum, and the estácio de sá monument, founder of rio de janeiro, are in flamengo proper.
