the musical style has evolved into subgenres but most of the music still has the  original basis of remixing of national and international songs, with electric sounds, and a distinctive heavy beat - one slight adaption of the genre has been the change in the focus of the lyrics from explicit violence, to sexually charged, but both style are still prevalent, which have earned the genre much criticism from certain areas of society.
