access to this beach is only through a private condominium located on estrada do joá, a road accessible both from barra da tijuca e from são conrado. buses reach the entrance to the condominium, but not to the beach trail, so to avoid walking along the road inside the private condominium the best options would be a taxi or a rental car. the walk inside the condominium to reach the beach trail takes about 20 minutes on a steep incline. the beach trail itself takes another 10-15 minutes.

if going by taxi, the return trip should be booked in advance with the driver, as taxis do not drive by frequently in this area, and almost never inside the condominium.
