it is also always advisable to show the route and destination to the bus driver, to make sure exit for bus change happens at the right stop. additionally the bus runs through serra da grota funda, guaratiba, and barra de guaratiba - all very interesting locations, yet not often included in touristic itineraries. finally, it is advisable to be at the stops at least 20 minutes before the scheduled times, especially on the way back from barra de guaratiba.
