the trail between praia do meio and praia funda is more demanding than the previous part of the trail. a cord secured to the rock helps hikers descend to praia funda - this is feasible even by non experienced hikers in good physical shape, however this stretch of the trail is considered demanding.

it is not recommended to try reaching one beach from the others by walking along the coast on the cliffs, as the tides can change suddenly and the rocks are very slippery, with no readily available medical help in case of accidents - a local guide is always recommended especially to provide first-aid in case of accidents such as falls or snake bites, and to arrange a rescue in case of more serious injuries.
