a variety of kiosks, a bicycle path, lack of traffic noise, beautiful views, and some very convenient and affordable local accommodations options make this beach a precious getaway within the city. the camping clube of brasil is located towards the canal, and in addition to short term accommodations, here it is also possible to purchase motor-homes for extended stays.

villaggio maramar, located on estrada do pontal, 6516 - recreio dos bandeirantes, tel. 21 3411-1029 has room and furnished apartments available for short and long term rentals. both lodging alternatives are beach front, and extremely peaceful.

the beach itself can get deserted at night, so for safety reasons we do not recommend it after hours to international visitors and/or people without their own transportation.
