the first parade of the vizinha was held in 1934 and the congregation presented itself with a great display, bringing twelve limousines to the field, and even presenting the first ever black carnival queen.  

this established quite a high bar for the school which since then attempted to always keep up with itself.

in 1939, in a grand attempt to stay irreverent and imaginative, it presented a dashing parade themed around the snow white and the seven dwarves' story, immortalized by the walt disney's animated movie.
