in special cases, A 'laissez-passer' travel document will be issued for those citizens of countries not currently recognized by the Government of Brazil, as long as the above mentioned guidelines are followed.

Registration for all diplomatic visa holders with the Ministry of External Relations (Ministério das Relações Exteriores) is required within 30 days of arrival and for some nationals of select countries, travel must occur within 90 days of receiving the visa.

There is no charge for a diplomatic visa and work and business or academic activities is prohibited.
