The Federação de Órgãos para Assistência Social e Educacional (FASE), Federation of Social and Educational Assistance was founded in 1961, committed to building a democratic society that functions on a different paradigm to the current neo-liberal model of development.

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s it provided a lot of support to social movements relating to famine, child labour and social and economic inequalities - They are currently engaged in projects relating to environmental justice; food safety and nutrition; defence of common land, as well as land rights; and women's rights - FASE can be contacted via email here or on the organization's website on this link.
