The Call Center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is run by a team of trained and qualified staff who diligently record information and listen receptively to the troubles and fears of the populace. Reports are then delivered to police officers who analyze and investigate claims. The results of each operation are passed on to the press and published, making them available to the relevant informant as well as the wider community.

The press is utilized considerably by the Hotline to enhance the image of the organization, raise awareness about its existence and encourage wider participation. 

Disque Denúncia publishes statistics about the number of complaints it receives, breaking figures down by year and month. It also provides specific numbers about seminal dates and periods in Rio's public security history. these records show that there were 1,136 complaints on the day that military police forces occupied the Complexo do Alemão (German Complex) on November 26 of 2011.
