ilha de cotunduba is an uninhabited island sitting less than one kilometer directly east of morro do leme.

ilha do veado is a small island located east of the entrance of guanabara bay, better known for rio de janeiro, though veado is on the niterói side of the bay.

ilha do pai, da măe, e da filha (father island, mother island and daughter island) extend in a southwesterly line from praia de itaipú and morro das andorinhas in niterói, which sits across guanabara bay from rio de janeiro.

the ilhas imbuhy, also called ilhas duas irmăs (two sisters islands) are two small islands located across from forte do imbuhy (imbuhy fort), right at the tip of niterói, by jurujuba administrative district.
