ilha do capćo (capćo island) is the one more to the east - beyond it the landscape becomes a heterogeneous field of marshes, streams and small clearings which eventually end in the americas avenue.
west of capćo is the bulk of this archipelago, the ilha suruquai, bom jardim, ilha nova and ilha do cavado.
ilha das baleias is located in the small strait between bom jardim and the marambaia island.
