jacarepaguá', the jacarepaguá lagoon island is a small batch of
land emerging over the waters of the homonymous lagoon, and
located very close to its eastern shore.
the lagoons of jacarepaguá and tijuca are
important bodies of water in the
barra da tijuca
area, and are
connected by a canal known as camorim lagoon.
extending to the
east, the tijuca lagoon ends in a small set of urbanized
islands, before giving way to the joatinga canal.
