this military institution was founded in 1884 and suffered great changes with the passing of time.

in 1937 it was decided to create a new head office, situated in the then unused piraquê island.

the new installations took several years to build, and even then they were modified with the passing of the years in order to adapt to the new demands.

nowadays it offers modern conditions like tennis courts, soccer fields and pools, along with the piers used to perch to boats belonging to the club.
