at a glance

the administrative hub is located in the centro de referência em educação ambiental marapendi - cea (center for environmental education). hikers can walk the many trails around the park, which also houses the centre for environmental education.

the centre was created to study the landscape and eco-system of the marapendi lagoon. it offers technical consultations, workshops on recycling, art exhibitions, video presentations, and teacher training.

aside from the natural attractions there are a wide range of educational activities available within the information centre, multimedia classrooms, and libraries also open to the public -  scholars, students, children, and tourists are able to take advantage of the facilities throughout the year.
