another academic addition to the garden is the library, which is located on the site, with an estimated 66,000 books, of which 3,000 are considered rare. there is also an enchanting japanese garden, which was built in 1935, and has some of the most alluring species in the entire garden, such as bonsai trees and bamboo groves.

other attractions within the garden include six lakes, a french café, a playground for kids, and a number of shops, whilst intriguing sculptures and fountains can be found throughout its grounds. there is also a visitor's center, which provides information about the garden, as well as guided tours, in a number of languages.
