facilitating access, there is a parking lot near this part of the park, however a taxi ride should be arranged in advance.

for those who do not like to plan, the walk back is quite easy and only takes 15 minutes to the beach.

this area is home to a monument constructed in 2011 by air france to honor the victims of the flight af-447 plane crash in 2009. 

designed by architect ricardo villar, the memorial consists of a translucent material on which 228 swallows are engraved.   

walking about 20 minutes more, gets visitors to the second mirante of the park, a set of wooden decks with views similar to the first ones.
