located in leblon, in rio's zona sul, in the same stretch home to ipanema and arpoador beaches, leblon beach (praia do leblon) is one of the most famous beaches in rio.

the beach is nearly identical to ipanema beach, with similar waves and currents. 

as an extension of ipanema, praia do leblon retains many of the wonderful characteristics of its neighboring beach.

1200 meters of soft white sand, and crisp blue-green waters make this part of the shore ideal for sunbathing and sports such as volleyball, beach tennis, and foot-volley.
