at a glance
This organization contains many conflicts and contradictions, in the midst of a profoundly unequal capitalist society. One part of this peculiarity is the fact that the landscape is constituted partly of fragments of the biome Mata Atlântica (Atlantic Forest), linked to the mountains - Using the adjacent subspaces of the neighborhoods of rio comprido and santa teresa, this study aims to demonstrate the different forms and uses of nature as a commodity, in the context of the urban expansion of the city.

The objective is to elucidate more broadly and accurately, differences in the structural conceptions of the two neighborhoods, which, at the same time, present some similarities. This study aims to analyze and demonstrate how borderline-administrative sectors of these higher neighborhoods are distinctly configured with regards to spatial organization and the use of nature as a resource, with implications in conservational discourse.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
