Presented by the    Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, the study Levantamento da arborização viária do centro do bairro de Santa Cruz, Rio de Janeiro, RJ,(Study of road arborization in the centre of the neighborhood of Santa Cruz, Rio de Janeiro, RJ), by André Ribeiro da Costa, qualifies and quantifis road arborization in the Center of the neighborhood of Santa Cruz, in the West Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro. A map was acquired with a scale of 1:10000 of the neighborhood, where the central area was separated. It was divided into squares of 1x1 cm totaling 281 small squares. Initially they were drafted randomly and without replacement - 15 samples with 1ha of area for the pilot inventory. The data was processed to produce one intensity amostral of 23,63 and an error of 0,31. It was then necessary to draft another 15 samples. An error of 0,29 was obtained and one intensity amostral of 20,75. 7,91 km was covered, in which 183 trees were found, ranging across 21 species. Pachira aquatica, Delonix regia and Terminalia catappa constituted 51,96% of the species total.
