at a glance

the dock, to the north, developed significantly with the years, and it is now one of the greatest in the country - this is in addition to the development of the santos dumont airport to the east, used by most domestic flights into rio de janeiro.

being as diversified and historical as it is, the area presents several neighborhoods filled with all sorts of interesting places to visit - on the side of guanabara bay, just over the airport, there's the famous ilha fiscal (fiscal island), a landmark building in the bay and among the most visited in rio.

on the coast there is praça xv (15th of november square),  from which the historical center radiates.
