fogo de chão is probably the most famous churrascaria, considered one of the elegant rodizios, that first opened its doors in 1979 in porto alegre - with national and international locations including two in rio de janeiro, one being in the neighborhood of botafogo and the other in the western district of barra da tijuca - aside from brazil, the restaurant can be found in mexico and in the united states.

its location in botafogo offers spectacular views of the pão de açúcar and of the guanabara bay, and it makes for the perfect late-brunch/early dinner experience.

the salad bar is excellent and enough to create a complete dinner experience on its own, especially for vegan and vegetarians looking to accompany friends and families on their meat-eating jouney - gluten-free options are available, which include but are not limited to warm and cheesy pão de queijo, crispy polenta, and mashed potatoes.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
