mr. lam  is a posh chinese restaurant located in the neighborhood of lagoa rodrigo de freitas, and it is often said to be the best chinese restaurant in brazil - the establishment is part owned by the famous new york chef sik chung lam, and the handpicked the staff at this restaurant himself in hong kong.  

the decor here is traditional, yet modern and unique, with large stone chinese warriors waiting to greet diners at the entrance - the interior in the rest of the restaurant is nicely presented and inviting. the main restaurant area can be found on the ground floor, and above it there are private rooms for up to six people, complete with red velvet curtains for private parties and seclusion.
