polis sucos is the oldest juice establishment in the city and enjoys a great deal of prestige and fame, founded in 1958 on rua maria quitéria in ipanema - open until 2am, it is a favourite haunt for party-goers and late night ramblers of the city because of its fresh and buzzing atmosphere - two twin branches have been opened in barra da tijcua.

its principal attraction is the fillet-mignon steak sandwich with cheese, while its sandwiches, fruity açaís, and salads are prepared to 'energize the body and nourish the soul'.

it is one of the only juice bars in the city which solely uses the juice of the fruit in production, and no frozen pulp - customers are able to create their own fruit cocktail from a variety of different ingredients, which makes the process more engaged, personal and pallet-specific.
