restô is located in ipanema, and is an infusion of traditional french cuisine with a carioca twist - with a homely décor and ambience, the restaurant has a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, offering a wonderful array of food, drink, and bossa nova music.

it was opened in 2009 by tande  bittencourt, danton mello and camilla prado, confessing to have a french soul and a carioca heart - among its appetisers are duck confit, with lentils and caramelised orange, honey and chilli, and a variety of bruschettas and stuffed mushrooms.

starters include mushroom cappuccino and palm hearts with herbed butter - there are a diverse variety of salads and smaller plates, such as red onion marinated salmon and a unique speciality called ‘nana's salad'.

mains include grilled fish fillets, duck, escallops, angus steak and foie gras pâté - for those with a sweet tooth, restô offers the traditional brazilian passion fruit mousse as well as creamy 'goiabada' which is guava paste, and cheese known as 'romeo and juliet' by cariocas.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
