this took place in 2007, 10 years after the original inauguration of the restaurant, and has seen his thai dining concept thrive ever since, with two branches of the sawasdee now in operation, in the city of rio, and the original still going strong in búzios. 

marcos sodré oversees both of the restaurants in the city, whilst his son thiago, an accomplished chef himself, takes control of the kitchens - the cuisine that is served in the sawasdee bistrô is renowned for fusing flavors and ingredients from both thailand and brazil, in an eclectic array of creative dishes which have won the restaurant many celebrity and food enthusiast fans.

as well as the long list of illustrious fans, the restaurant has also won the acclaim of many food critics, and over the years has picked up a number of awards, including the veja magazine's 'best asian restaurant' in rio award, every year since 2008.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
