at a glance

some of the personal things a hang gliding passenger can do to improve safety is checking that he or she has been properly 'clipped in', and that all belts are securely fastened. a helmet is generally provided, and students might choose instructors that provide helmets as part of the flying equipment - the most comfortable helmets have padding on the inside. not always provided, and generally not required, are knee-pads, but always a great plus if available.

flip-flops and sandals should be avoided, and participants should wear closed toe shoes, such as tennis shoes or runners - instructors can deny flight to passengers without proper shoes.    arrow-back     arrow-forward
