In 2012 a skatepark was inaugurated alongside the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas in the South Zone of Rio de janeiro

The skatepark replaced an old volleyball court, which had regularly been invaded by local skateboarders, and today is considered one of the most modern in Latin America

with a variety of slopes, and capsule deisgns, the park allows skaters to have smooth and perfected transitions

Located within Parque Tom Jobim along the bank of the Lagoa, the park has great lighting allowing skaters to train into the night - It includes parking for those who have travelled from afar to enjoy the park
