The park was developed by NikeSB in partnership with the city, as a result of the persistent and impressive activism of figures such as Renne Nunes

Nunes himself remarked that, in addition to having gained a very important space for the practice of skateboarding, the development has rescued the future of carioca skating for future generations

The skate park located at Parque Madureira, Madureira Park, has conquered the hearts of skateboard lovers across the city and voted, by one poll, as the best skate park in Latin America

It spans around 3,850 square meters, and allows the practice of bowls, bank, street and downhill forms - in order to accomodate skaters of all levels and ages the park has sixteen professionals on site to provide guidance
