at a glance

safer flying suits arrived in the early 1990s - it was patrick de gayardon from france, who presented the technology, unfortunately he died testing further improvements in 1998. by the end of the decade new developments brought safer and more accessible wingsuits - soon several companies were manufacturing their own models.

it is possible to perform these flights with wingsuits in skydiving clubs based out of rio de janeiro - for more information individuals can contact one of the clubs listed in the skydiving section(link).

the practice of using a wingsuit is not for everyone - only experienced skydivers, preferably with more than two hundred jumps, can use the suit as it requires skill and experience to control.  arrow-back     arrow-forward
