at a glance
a quick word of warning - at night it is not advised to walk to tourist sites from the ships' docking points.

visitors should check with cruise ships' concierge services to know where and when to walk after disembarking - it is always best to use land transportation provided by the cruise ship.

once on land there are many places and attractions around the city one can go to, even for one day -  perhaps visitors should kick things off with a visit to one of the city's most famous sites, corcovado mountain ('hunchback' in portuguese), where the huge towering art deco statue of christ the redeemer (cristo redentor) overlooks the landscape.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
