As Tropas da Moderação (Moderation Troops) by Alcir Lenharo depicts the export outbreak in Brazil during the period of independence, presenting also, the social world of the drover. Alcir Lenharo investigated the effects of regional interests on the political landscape of the first half of the 19th Century, addressing social interests that drove the supply trade, their political role in the construction of the Estado Nacional (National State) in Brazil, and revealing the dynamic nature of the commercial economy for the subsistence of the country.
