Augusto Malta: Catálogo da Série Negativo em Vidro (Augusto Malta: Catalog of the Glass Negatives Series) by Augusto Malta and Aristógiton Malta is A survey instrument developed by the staff of the City Archives. It is a catalog containing photographic productions by Augusto Malta and Aristógiton Malta during the first three decades of the 20th Century.

The documentation is unique, because, as official photographer of the city government, Augusto Malta captured many of the activities of the administrative efforts of the mayors of the Distrito Federal (Federal District). This set is part of the collection held by the Arquivo da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro (Archives of the City of Rio de Janeiro), and is of the utmost significance to the continuance of social and political memory surrounding the city of Rio, due to the valuable information it contains. This type of work is equally important for the history of photography.
