caves form as a consequence of fluvial water dissolving the rock
or percolating rainfall over the ages. most of the
caves in the region are relatively small in size and attributed to faults in the
gneisses or granite formations,
or to the superimposition of large blocks of rocks.
while not popularly known outside the eco-tourism circles,
many
local caves achieved some local importance especially
among the trekkers in the region.
