gardening workshops are held inside the horticulture area of the park, for those interested in learning gardening techniques and composting. these workshops have a long history inside tha park - they have been offered here for over a decade.

brigadier faria lima park is located on the rua heróis da feb (heroes of feb street). the other two parks that make up the  complex of parque tom jobim are the parque do cantagalo (singing rooster park) and the parque das taboas (cattails park).

all three of these parks offer excellent facilities. there are paths for hiking, jogging and biking. the lagoa rodrigo de freitas (rodrigo de freitas lagoon) offers pedal boats and there are plenty of areas for picnicking and parking.
