to reach this trail, hikers must pass through the passagem do inferno (path to hell), a path formed by a horizontal cut in the rockface, 1.40 m long by 80 cm high. crossing the path to hell is one of the best places to admire the bico do papagaio.

from the top, there is a great 360 view of the main mountains of the forest such as pico da tijuca, morro da cocanha and pedra do conde. a little bit further down, there are views of morro do corcovado. it is also possible to see the northern and southern zones of the city.
