the centre was created to study the landscape and eco-system of the marapendi lagoon and offers technical consultations, workshops on recycling, art exhibitions, video presentations, and teacher training.

aside from the natural attractions there are a wide range of educational activities available with the information centre, multimedia classrooms, and libraries also open to the public -  scholars, students, children, and tourists are able to take advantage of the facilities throughout the year.

importantly, the cea offers guided tours of the park led by experts ready to offer their skill in finding and identifying rare wildlife - each and every variety of wildlife and fauna in the area is explained in detail.
