the ecological reserve of grumari is located on the edge of metropolitan rio de janeiro, beyond the neighborhood of recreio do bandeirantes, which is also one of the main access to the eponymous grumari neighborhood.

there are a number of points of interest in the area, although the 2.5 kilometer long extension of wild beach, with crystal clear water, is the most well know attraction of grumari, in close proximity to the popular prainha beach.
