the parque municipal ecológico de marapendi is located in barra de tijuca, in the west region of rio de janeiro and spans nearly 250 hectares - it includes the reserva biológica de marapendi, the lagoa de marapendi, and the gorgeous praia da reserva ecológica.

70 hectares of the protected reserve have been set aside for study, along with a special area for walking, running, and working out.
