at a glance

during the weekends the place tends to get busier, especially in the afternoons. it is important to pick sunny, warm days to visit, since the water temperature tends to be fairly cold - as is the case with most waterfalls. the plunge pool is relatively shallow - children are therefore able to swim here as well, away from the main chute.

there are several guided ecological walks and groups that gather to do the hike. it is a good activity for all ages - no dogs are allowed on this trail.

the surrounding garden is a great place to relax while reading a book, catching some rays, or simply listening to the song birds. in addition, the nearby paxeco bar is a good option for a drink after wallowing in the water and it is possible to sit on the terrace while admiring the view of christ the redeemer. arrow-back     arrow-forward
