the influential rock band, picassos falsos, was created by a group of friends living in the neighborhood of tijuca - known for their originality, they were one of the first musical acts in the country to blend rock, soul and funk, reaching fame in 1980's and 1990's and contributing to the brazilian music by releasing some of the best rock albums ever produced in the country, most notably, 'supercarioca' in 1988 - they have been inactive since 2004, when they performed at tim festival, and released their latest album, 'novo mundo'.
