praia do lameirão is a small,
rarely visited, 170-meter beach on the
north side of
paquetá.
the word lameirão translates as 'lots of mud,' and in
fact this beach is not suitable for swimming. however, it is a
great spot for fishing crabs,
not a normal tourist destination within the island,
this extremely charming corner of the neighborhood has a small fisherman's
house and a boat always present, along with a shrine for the african
goddess yemanjá on a rock facing the house.
