the only food vendor is at street level and has a very limited supply of snacks, mostly limited to fresh coconut water and sodas. on the left side of the beach, the view of the niterói contemporary art museum is particularly interesting as it is possible to view the structure from a very different angle. across from praia da boa viagem, the ilha do morcego, can be seen. this island is famous locally due to a rock formation on the right tip resembling a throne and nicknamed 'the emperor's throne'.
