strong winds are typical of this beach, and the view to the horizon is nice and open. this beach was named after the stranding of an argentinean ship in these waters in 1958, named camboinhas.  the carcass of the ship can still be seen in low tide. 

camboinhas beach has an exclusive aura to it, as it mostly frequented by the upscale residents of the neighborhood and their friends.
