another very beautiful and untouched oceanic beach in niterói is the praia do forte imbuhy (beach of the fort imbuhy), also called praia de imbuí.

located in the historical neighborhood of jurujuba, inside the forte imbuhy, this beach is 600 meters long and only accessible during set times via the entrance through the forte do barão do rio branco, the main fort that acts as a gate to the forte imbuhy, and the nearby forte do pico (fort of the peak).

from the forte do pico, due to its position high in the hill, some spectacular views of the guanabara bay and of rio de janeiro can be enjoyed.
