there are no public bathrooms on this beach, and not all sections of the beach are patrolled by lifeguards.          

n earby the lagoa de itaipú is also quite beautiful and worth visiting.  calm waters and shallow depths make of the lagoon a favorite among many families with small children. 

access to the lagoon is easiest via the canal at the border with praia de itaipú, or via the sand dunes behind the beach.
