there are a few ways of getting to praia de itaipú from rio's zona sul. the easiest way would be by taking bus 7003 and bus line 38. the panoramic way would be by taking bus 119 to praça xv + boat to niterói + bus 38 to itaipú. the most comfortable way, but most time consuming, would be by taking bus line 1001 'castelo x itaipú' from bus terminal mendes directly to itaipú beach.
