one of the most famous yacht clubs in guanabara bay, the  clube naval charitas, is located on the far end of this beach.  the small local landmark ilha dos amores (island of loves) is set right across from praia da samanguaiá.

samanguaiá beach is normally not frequented by either local or foreign visitors, as it has only a very basic infrastructure, with food vendors only routing this beach during week-ends.
